I might not be the strongest, the beefiest or the most handsome. I know that I’m not the wealthiest and I haven’t had the same opportunities as others. Some of these things I can change, some of these things I can’t.
We are always in the process of actively making ourselves, in every moment we are learning new things, experiencing new sensations and with each one we are not entirely same person we were a moment ago.
As a submissive I can tend to be rather results-centric, that things will be better once I reach a particular milestone and it is my duty, nay, my purpose to reach them . These milestones are the punctuation in our lives, they signify the transition from one place to another.
However, what gives a sentence its meaning is what comes between the punctuation. In the same way, the vast majority of our living is between our milestones.
In many ways my goals define who I am and what I do.
I will be stronger. I will get a better job that will lead to a satisfying career where I will be able to learn new things and take my skills around the world - with time, capital and experience I’d even like to write a book and start up my own consultancy agency, I will call San Francisco home.
There are also smaller things as well - I will live up honour bestowed upon me when I got my collar, I will live up to the commitment I made when I was bestowed with my brand, I will live with love in my heart and I will demonstrate my devotion in deeds, not words.
~I will make my Master proud.~
Being a pup is not all about relinquishing power and ownership. To me, it is about loving someone so much, that you feel compelled to devote yourself to this person - what makes you happy is bringing joy into their lives. Loyalty is not something which is given because it is merely asked for, but because this is the person you hold in your heart as your “Master” in a very literal sense, you willingly give it because you are theirs.
Perhaps I am a little meandering, but my point is we are all in an ongoing process of ‘becoming’. Sometimes we are ahead, sometimes we are behind - and the road is long. I will reach my goals - that I do know.
I live in hope, My milestones are important - but what is equally important is the love that you share and the bonds you make along the way.

Happy 26th Birthday Master!
At work. Pup is at his desk with a special new artifact
It makes him happy.
All of a sudden pup finds a sudden restlessness come over him. He craves to be at the gym smashing heavy benchpress and squats, working his arms. To lift and lift until he can’t lift another ounce.
Pup is improvising instead: an impromptu dance party (of one) in the parking lot followed by tricep dips and pushups to failure.
Bigger. Harder. Better. Stronger. Deeper. Everyday.
